Tension springs are built differently from compression springs, serving a distinct purpose. They feature a helical coil section and hooks (lugs) at both ends. When stretched by a pulling force, the spring elongates, but the hooks allow it to return to its original shape—maintaining a secure connection between components in a device.

For proper function and durability, it's essential to select the correct material, wire thickness, spring length, and hook type.

We manufacture tension springs with the following specifications:

Torsion springs are used to accommodate torsional tension and, in some cases, axial compression force. A torsion spring is made up of a helical section (with no clearance as a tension spring or with inter-coil clearance as a compression spring) and arms at its ends. The design of the spring ends determines the torsional tension. The legs (‘hooks’) can be of different lengths and at different angles, depending on the required spring action.

Conical springs are a subgroup of compression springs. The purpose of ‘cones’ is to work under pressure and to maintain the force at the indicated length. The distinguishing feature of conical springs is their non-linear force versus deflection characteristics.

Circlip rings made of spring wires are used to protect bushings from axial movement on the roller or to hold bearings, gears, couplings in place. They can replace circlip rings. The rings are available as external or internal versions; the difference is in the mounting location.
